IRCC Issues 500 Invitations for Canadian Experience Class: Express Entry Draw Update

IRCC released 500 Invitations for Canadian Experience Class in Second Express Entry Draw of the Week

Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada released 500 Invitations to Apply for candidates in the Canadian Experience Class this week into the second Express Entry draw. To be invited, candidates must have scored at least 539 points based on the Comprehensive Ranking System.

Earlier this week, 1,613 candidates holding Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) nominations were issued ITAs with a minimum score of 739. Prior to that, on September 19, the Express Entry draw issued 4,000 CEC candidates with a minimum CRS score of 509. This was slightly higher than the previous draw held on August 27, wherein the score stood at 507.

CEC draws took place more frequently in summer, as IRCC has mailed 21,800 ITAs to CEC candidates since July. It is a natural part of IRCC’s strategy to increase the “domestic” draws and lower temporary residents in Canada-the Immigration Department requires additional numbers in permanent residence for this year.

A few days ago was the second draw for this month. Last October, IRCC carried out four draws and issued invitations for an aggregate of 9,173 candidates.
