The Federal Experience Class (CEC), the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), and the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) are Canada’s three most well-known economic immigration schemes. All three are managed by the application management system Express Entry.

In order to assess applicants based on human capital elements including age, job experience, language proficiency, vocation, and education, each of these programs employs the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). The system takes into account an applicant’s spouse or partner being included in the application.

Each component has a specific value, and these values are totaled up to determine a candidate’s total CRS score. Following the receipt of a CRS score, candidates are rated in relation to other Express Entry applicants; those who score highest are more likely to be invited to apply (ITA) in a future Express Entry draw for permanent residency.

While each of the three programs uses the same technology, their qualifying requirements vary.

A candidate has sixty days from the moment they get an ITA to send the IRCC their final application for permanent residency.
